Educational Grants

An Educational Grant is funding provided by BTG in the form of money, equipment, or other benefit in kind to a healthcare organisation to support independent educational programme(s), but does not control the activity for which the “grant” is to be used, and BTG receives no services in return.

  • Academic medical centers, hospitals, medical societies, professional associations, governmental agencies, quality-based organisations, and patient advocacy organisations can apply for an Educational Grant or Charitable Donation.
    • CME / third-party education
    • Patient advocacy
    • Patient education programs
    • Charitable donations to organisations with legal standing as determined by local law
    • Local activities in the areas of health and science
  • BTG does not provide Educational Grants for the following activities:
    • Grants or payments to individuals, e.g. healthcare professionals (HCPs) or physician group practice organisations
    • Organisations or charities nominated by an HCP
    • Fees for the engagement of HCPs or healthcare organisations to provide services
    • Capital campaigns, building funds, equipment
    • Requests for operating expenses (equipment, salaries, benefits) that are not directly and exclusively dedicated to the educational activity
    • Website development
    • Promotional programs
    • Religious or social programs
    • Grants to political parties
    • Social events, e.g. charity balls and graduation celebrations
    • Charity fundraising
    • Research or clinical studies, including investigator initiated trials and research fellowships (all research procedures are covered under separate policies)
    • Medical missions to foreign countries
    • Travel grants to US HCPs to attend scientific conferences
    • Exhibit and display booths/fees
    • Projects working in partnership with BTG
  • To apply for an Educational Grant, please complete the Educational Grant Submission Form. Once complete, save the PDF and email in addition to the required documents listed below to grants@btgsp.com.

    You must provide detailed information describing the programme or activity for which funding is being requested.

    • Letter of Request on Official Letterhead
    • Programme Overview including Date and Location
    • Programme Agenda, Topics and Faculty
    • Target Audience and Estimated Number of Attendees
    • Amount of Funding Requested

    • Completed W-9 or W-8 (International Form)
    • Accreditation Information (if applicable)
    • Template Letter of Agreement (if available). If not available, BTG will utilise our Template Letter of Agreement
